JailHost
Learn how you will be able to take advantage of the "JailHost" option inside your control panel and how it can protect all your sites.
In case you host multiple Internet sites within the very same account and one of them gets hacked, it is quite possible that all of them will get hacked afterwards. There're different reasons why this could happen, the two most common are: using really weak passwords or using out-of-date scripts with known weaknesses. That way, a single compromised Internet site will do lots of damage to all of your sites, because getting access to a single script normally allows hackers to access the entire Internet hosting account. This is the reason why we've introduced an innovative security option called JailHost. Once enabled, this feature will literally lock a website within its folder, so if an attacker takes over it, the other sites in the account will remain hidden. Thus they will be resistant to further intrusion. The JailHost option doesn't imply that you should not keep your sites updated, but it will greatly reduce the damage.
JailHost in Shared Hosting
You can take advantage of JailHost with every single shared hosting plan that we provide and protect your websites against attacks fast and easy. Every single domain and subdomain in the Hepsia Control Panel which comes with our plans has a separate folder and in contrast to what can often happen with other Control Panels, the website content isn't mixed in just a single main folder, so maintaining your websites separate is incredibly easier. Enabling JailHost for any site takes only a few clicks, so even if you do not have a lot of experience, you will not need any specific skills to maintain your websites safe. The option is not active by default in case that you would like to use a script that requires accessibility to another folder in your account. If you use JailHost, the remaining sites that you have will be secured, but even a hacked one won't remain damaged for too long as we will have a couple of daily backups for it all of the time, so we can easily restore it.
