A catch-all mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to nonexistent email addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss emails because the other side has an out-of-date email address or has made a typo. The disadvantage of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of spam, but this issue can be fixed using anti-spam filtering software. It is also essential to keep in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound messages to a 3rd-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Setting up a catch-all mailbox will be amazingly easy if you have a shared hosting with our company. You can enable this option through our powerful, albeit simple-to-use Email Manager, which is an essential part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll administer your web hosting account. You will find all the mailboxes that you have created shown in alphabetical order and on the right-hand side of each one of them there will be a small-size "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously tell you whether a specific mailbox stores all the messages for a given domain or not. With one single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate the feature whenever you wish. In case there is activated email forwarding or in case a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a particular domain name, you will get a warning notification from our system. The latter won’t replace/deactivate anything automatically or without your approval.
